Gas leak hits bank

HUNDREDS of workers were evacuated from council offices and the Natwest bank on Tuesday after a gas leak at the bank. Zehra Hassan, a bank clerk, was hit by a wall of gas when she went down to the basement to investigate a suspicious smell. The bank, business centre, and council offices were cleared for nearly three hours while engineers worked on the problem which may have been caused by to the instalment of a new boiler last week.
